About Ustad Iqbal Ahmed Khan’s Dilli Durbar
Dilli Durbar 2024, to be held on 23, 24 & 25 February 2024 at Gandhi Darshan Museum, Rajghat, New Delhi, is a celebration of Love and Sprituality. We at Dilli Gharana, the native music conservatory of Delhi, has painstakingly preserved throughout ages and eras, its priceless musical traditions of Indian Music. Our goal is to safeguard, preserve, promote and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Music of India, as well as Delhi, that the Gharana has been carrying forward since 13th century. The resonance of Hazrat Ameer Khusro's timeless wisdom echoes through the corridors of history, giving birth to the illustrious Dilli Gharana, an institution deeply rooted in the profound teachings of this 13th-century Sufi mystic. Founded on the bedrock of his visionary words, the Dilli Gharana stands as a luminous beacon dedicated to the propagation of spirituality through the captivating medium of music. Hazrat Ameer Khusro's legacy reverberates within the soul of this gharana, inspiring a collective mission to spread his enlightened message far and wide. With every melodic note and rhythmic harmony, the gharana endeavors to embrace and channel the essence of spiritual wisdom, fostering an ethos of unity, love, and spiritual enlightenment.
